Aloha – 1-Way Interface
With our Aloha 1-Way Interface, Yellow Dog Inventory pulls sales data from Aloha.
Yellow Dog Inventory does not import items into Aloha with this interface. We have a separate interface that provides this (Aloha 2-Way Interface).
The Aloha 1-Way interface provides a one-way interface where inventory will be reduced based on the items sold in Aloha. Each item sold in Aloha is "mapped" to a corresponding recipe or inventory item.
This interface contains one element: From Yellow Dog, a sync application which will process a sales file that Aloha creates during its daily "Grind File" process.
This interface can be scheduled to process the "Grind Files" at a time of your choosing. However, these Grind Files are only generated once a day during the End of Day process.
Back Office Setup Requirements
This interface will work with any version of Aloha that produces the daily Grind Files.
The existing Aloha items and modifiers may need to be reconfigured so that the proper item is listed in the sales information and can be mapped to reduce the correct inventory items. Yellow Dog can review your setup prior to your acceptance of the proposal to identify what you and your Aloha team will need to do to allow our inventory system to work properly.
The Yellow Dog Sync program will need to be installed on a server that can access the folder where the Grind files are populated.
Yellow Dog will need to have remote access to this server. We can provide access via our tool called TeamViewer or we can utilize your internal remote access methodology.
This sync requires that certain drivers be installed in order for it to run. If the Visual FoxPro ODBC Driver is not already installed, the sync will bring the .msi file into the Yellow Dog folder automatically. You will need to double-click the .msi to install this driver before the sync can run successfully.
This sync will process the following Grind Files:
The implementation will begin once your Aloha office has confirmed that it can accommodate all of these prerequisites and requirements.
Sales data can only be processed once a day and only after the Grind Files are generated.
This is a 1-way interface meaning we only process sales from Aloha.
Yellow Dog Software will support the interface. Any issues regarding the generation of the Grind Files will need to be handled by your Aloha office/dealer.
