Overview

To outline Remote Access to our Corporate Network and our Dedicated Hosted Server environment.

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to define rules and requirements for connecting to Yellow Dog Software's network from any host. These rules and requirements are designed to minimize the potential exposure to Yellow Dog Software from damages which may result from unauthorized use of Yellow Dog Software resources. Damages include the loss of sensitive or company confidential data, intellectual property, damage to public image, damage to critical Yellow Dog Software internal systems, and fines or other financial liabilities incurred as a result of those losses.

Scope

This policy applies to all Yellow Dog Software employees. This policy covers and any all technical implementations of remote access used to connect to the Yellow Dog Software Hosted Server Environment.

Policy

Connections to our Hosted Server Environment is to only be made through ConnectWise Control and secured through SSL TLS 1.2 connection encryption.

Desktop/Laptop/Mobile devices are only allowed after being authorized by the System Administrator.

ConnectWise Control accounts are authenticated via Google Workspace SSO, which itself has an MFA enforcement.

Authorized users will have a Windows user account setup with permissions necessary for their desired operation, which will expire within 48 hours of creation. If longer access is necessary, that can be setup with the System Administrator.

User accounts are not to be shared between users. There are no “group” users allowed in the system.
